Our 7kW charger range is perfect for both domestic and commercial installations. 7kW chargers are one of the most accessible chargers for people to install, which only need a single-phase power supply, which 95% of homes in the UK have. Depending on the behaviours of your business and needs for vehicles, 7kW could be suitable for your needs. We recommend commercial offices have these chargers installed if only one charger is available for each electric vehicle due to the slower 8-10 hour average charge time, or one for every two if these vehicles are hybrid.

Is a 7kW charger enough for my business?
This question has no simple yes or no answer due to the variance in every business's needs. Generally speaking, we only recommend 7kW chargers for small organisations that do not require any staff to leave the premises during working hours because of the slower charge time. If you want chargers used by visitors or the public, we recommend a higher-power charger capable of charging cars in a shorter time.
Can I stop people from using my charger?
Depending on your charger model, there are ways to stop people from using your charger. Most of our chargers are smart, meaning you can use RFID or apps to ensure only people with permission can use your chargers. The only exception is the EO mini which is the simplest and most affordable model we offer and has no smart system allowing you to control the charger. The EO mini is best suited to domestic installations.
What is a single-phase power supply?
A single-phase power supply is the standard power that is given to most homes all across the UK. The current given out from this power supply is AC (Alternating current) Meaning the current reverses direction and changes its magnitude continuously. With a single phase power supply the largest charger you would be able to get is in the 7kW range.
How fast is a 7kW charger?
7kW EV chargers can charge a car in 5-10 hours. However, this can vary due to the differing battery capacities in electric vehicles and other factors such as the starting charge and environmental factors, including the weather etc.
How much does a 7kw charger cost?
Our 7kw EV chargers come in a range of different prices, these are dependant of the features that each charger offers. WE offer 7kw charger in the range from £293.28 to £712.19. Our most affordable charger is the EO mini coming in at only £293.28. Being the simplest charger we offer, only being recommended for domestic and very specific business uses. Additional costs will apply to the installation and any enhancements made to the electricity supply infrastructure. (All prices quoted are subject to VAT).
Are there any other safety measures that need to be taken when installing the charger?
For electrical safety, it is recommended to have the charger installed by a qualified electrician. Additionally, it is advisable to ensure that the surrounding area is properly maintained, as well as to have a dedicated emergency stop switch installed.
